Custodian (Part-Time)

Summary:

A Custodian, is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds. Their duties include a variety of cleaning tasks including but not limited to: vacuuming floors, sanitizing restroom facilities and collecting trash to ensure the building’s occupants have a clean space, preparing spaces for upcoming events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Cleaning wood, linoleum, tile and other floors
• Shampooing rugs and carpets
• Emptying trash cans
• Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed
• Washing windows
• Maintaining a thorough inventory
• Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners
• Collecting and taking out trash and recycling
• Will clean / prepare varies event spaces for upcoming events or after events have run.
• Assist is maintaining Fitness Facility and long term stay tenants apartments.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
• Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
• Time-management and multitasking abilities
• Dependable and strong organization skills
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekend hours.
• Highs school diploma/GED

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
