Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

USD #365 is seeking applicants for night custodian at Anderson County Junior Senior High School, night custodian at Garnett Elementary, and a custodian to fill variable positions and times. All positions are full-time jobs that includes district Blue Cross/Blue Shield (single) health insurance paid at 92% of premium ($500 deductible).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in school spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Maintain floors through regular care practices such as buffing and polishing.
• Conduct industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the building's infrastructure.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently.
• Respond promptly to custodial requests from staff or management.
• Monitor supplies and equipment, reporting any needs for replenishment or repairs.
• Uphold cleanliness standards in all areas, including restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.

Skills

• Experience in commercial cleaning and custodial services is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Capable of performing basic facilities maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player when necessary.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
