Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custom Cabinetry Finisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishes to custom cabinets, ensuring a high-quality, smooth, and durable surface that meets our exacting standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with precision finishing techniques, utilize a variety of tools and equipment, and contribute to the creation of beautiful, functional cabinetry for our clients. Your expertise will help bring our custom designs to life with flawless finishes that enhance the overall aesthetic and longevity of each piece.

Duties

  • Prepare cabinet surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and masking to ensure optimal finish adhesion.
  • Apply finishes using airless paint spraying equipment, brushes, rollers, or other methods as appropriate for each project.
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently during the finishing process.
  • Perform touch-ups and corrections to achieve a flawless surface appearance.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and basic math skills to verify dimensions and ensure consistent application of finishes.
  • Handle materials carefully with proper materials handling techniques, including the use of forklifts or cranes when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols related to industrial painting, auto body repair techniques, welding, and machining processes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial painting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, machining, fabrication, or auto body repair will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with construction painting techniques and auto painting processes is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, airless paint sprayers, and precision measuring instruments is essential.
  • Warehouse experience involving materials handling equipment such as forklifts or cranes is beneficial.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and quality in finishing operations.
