Summary

We are currently seeking a full-time custom frame designer/sales-person to work in our new Auburndale showroom, joining our talented team of designers. The right person for the position will be a growth-minded, creative individual with established custom framing skills. Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand their framing needs and provide expert design advice.
  • Create custom frame designs that meet client specifications and aesthetic preferences.
  • Manage sales processes from initial contact through project completion.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to build lasting client relationships.
  • Collaborate with our production team to ensure design accuracy and quality.
  • Stay informed about current trends in art framing and design.
  • Assist in showroom presentation and product showcasing, keeping it clean, neat and organized.
  • Support marketing efforts by participating in promotional events.
  • Work remotely with various clients through email (or sometimes Zoom/Face-Time) as warranted.
  • Assist in setting up delivery and pick-up of client's artwork as warranted.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales or customer service within the art or framing industry is preferred, ideally candidates will have 1-2+ years experience in framing.
  • Strong knowledge of custom framing materials and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand client needs and translate them into creative solutions.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for art and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Personable and professional in demeanor and is confident with light administrative tasks like answering phone calls and managing client's expectations.
  • Dependable, reliable with a strong work ethic, you must also be friendly!
  • Can measure accurately and use various tools of the trade.
  • Comfort working with all types of artwork, including high-end, high-value works.

Other things to note:

The work schedule is Tues-Friday 9-5, Saturdays 10-5. You will mostly be situated in Auburndale, but there may be days when you are needed in our Cambridge showroom for coverage or training purposes. We are convenient to public transportation, and parking is available. We offer competitive pay, health insurance, as well as vacation and sick time. All major holidays are paid, and we are closed on Thanksgiving and the day after, as well as Christmas day, New Year’s Day, and the week between those two holidays.

We like to have fun while also providing a top-quality product that is made by hand by master craftspeople, many of whom have been with the company for over two decades.
