Job Summary: The role of the Custom Parts Associate is to facilitate the production of Custom Stair parts, keeping projects on schedule, safety, ensuring job quality standards, and providing overall great customer service to customers.

What You’ll Do: This is a hands-on stair installation role requiring construction and carpentry experience. You will:

Building custom stair parts (treads, curbing, balusters) within the allotted time frame and within compliance with Southern Staircase quality standards.

Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.

Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.

Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requesting needed material from Warehouse

Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
-
Minimum 2 years of framing, carpentry, or woodworking experience (REQUIRED)

Good woodworking skills, trim carpentry.

Experience with hand tools (jigsaw, skill saw, nail guns, sanders).

Ability to operate power tools, table saw, band saw, chop and miter say and other woodworking related tools.

Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math accurately.

Ability to identify various wood species.
-
Ability to work in a production type environment with some heavy lifting required.

Ability to build custom stair parts within company standards, maintaining manufacturing and quality standards.
