Customer Care & Warehouse Associate

SUMMARY

Mainline Sales is an independent manufacturers representative operating within the waterworks, fire protection, irrigation, and plumbing industries. We represent premium brands and are very selective when considering additions to our portfolio. Answer calls, manage company e-mail, and process orders for customers. Data entry in multiple systems. Maintain a professional, courteous and respectful environment when communicating with peers and customers.

CUSTOMER CARE RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Answer inbound phone calls and assist customers with orders and product inquiries.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within department guidelines.
• Verify stock availability, check status of backorders, and communicate delivery timelines to customers.
• Manage Customer Care email inbox and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Process RGAs and credit memos as required.
• Communicate relevant information to internal departments including Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, Warehouse, and Accounting.
• Coordinate with manufacturers regarding direct shipments, pricing, and product updates.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful environment when communicating with customers and team members.
• Participate in product training sessions and maintain knowledge of company products.

WAREHOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Opening and closing the warehouse daily
• Pull and stage orders
• Ship and Receive orders
• Load and unload trucks
• Assist with will call orders for customers
• Maintain a clean and functioning warehouse
• Closing will call orders daily

QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge/skill, and/or ability required.

• Ability to lift 30 pounds or more.
• Ability to work both in an office and warehouse environment.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Proven self-starter with a motivated attitude and strong work ethic.
• Previous plumbing or waterworks industry knowledge preferred.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma required. Equivalent experience in a related industry may be substituted.
• Experience with computer systems including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience in customer service, order processing, or warehouse operations preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Duties are performed in both office and warehouse environments.
• The employee will be required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate regularly throughout the day.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 30 pounds or more.
• The noise level may vary from moderate (office) to higher levels typical of warehouse operations.

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
