We’re hiring a Customer Claims Specialist to be the calm, confident voice that helps our clients feel seen, heard, and taken care of when damage occurs or other issues arise during a move. Your job isn’t just about processing claims - it’s about protecting our reputation, living out our values, and helping customers walk away saying, “They truly took care of me.”
What You’ll Do
  • Own the end-to-end damage claims process from intake to resolution
  • Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to gather details and explain outcomes
  • Investigate claims by reviewing photos, mover reports, item values, and condition notes
  • Apply logical reasoning and fair compensation standards using our proprietary tools and guides
  • Collaborate with operations and third-party vendors for repairs, replacements, or reimbursement
  • Track all cases in our internal Claims & Damage Tracker
  • Proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide closure
  • Represent BBM’s values in every interaction — calm, clear, and solutions-focused

You’re a Great Fit If You:
  • Have 2+ years of experience in customer service, claims resolution, or logistics support
  • Are a confident communicator who can de-escalate conflict and build trust quickly
  • Think like a detective — curious, thorough, and calm under pressure
  • Know how to balance empathy with fairness — and can “hold the line” when needed
  • Prefer a phone call to endless emails and believe in proactive communication
  • Are comfortable navigating spreadsheets, photo evidence, and CRM tools
  • Take pride in turning a tough moment into a great customer service story
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience in the moving industry, insurance claims, or household goods logistics
  • Familiarity with depreciation, item valuation, or repair coordination
  • A natural ability to ask the right questions, read between the lines, and make smart calls
  • An obsession with organization and clean recordkeeping
