Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to join our team. This role is responsible for managing customer quality requirements, ensuring product quality compliance, and driving resolution of customer-reported issues within an electronics manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring that quality expectations are met while continuously improving processes and product reliability.

Candidates must have experience in electronics or server manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality-related issues and inquiries
  • Analyze customer requirements and ensure alignment with internal quality processes
  • Lead customer complaint handling, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (manufacturing, engineering, suppliers) to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems (QMS) and relevant ISO standards
  • Plan and support internal and external audits, including customer audits
  • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to prevent quality issues
  • Analyze quality data, track KPIs, and provide reports to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Support development and maintenance of quality procedures and documentation
  • Provide training and guidance on quality standards and customer requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in customer quality or quality engineering within electronics or server manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience handling customer complaints and quality issue resolution
  • Strong experience in root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with KPI tracking and quality performance improvement
  • Experience supporting or participating in customer audits preferred
  • Strong communication skills, especially in customer-facing situations

Quality Systems & Compliance (Preferred)

Familiarity with the following standards and practices is preferred:

  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 50001
  • IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 (automotive-related standards)
  • CGMP or ISO 13485 (if applicable)
  • Risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks

  • Auditing: Experience supporting internal/external/customer audits

  • Communication: Strong cross-functional and customer-facing communication skills
  • Ownership & Execution: Ability to drive issues to closure in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin Chinese language with global stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
