What Does the Customer Quality Team Member Do at Farplas?
• Follows up customer quality notifications and requirements; ensures products and processes meet customer expectations,
• Conducts root cause analyses for quality problems and develops sustainable corrective actions,
• Ensures compliance with S03 Quality Management System procedures and instructions,
• Leads the preparation of PPAP documentation in serial production together with Quality Technicians and Engineers,
• Collaborates with Production to maintain and improve approved process capability in serial production,
• Performs process audits for parts with customer complaints or high internal scrap rates; evaluates process effectiveness,
• Coordinates and follows up internal and external corrective actions; provides necessary feedback and reporting to customers,
• Works closely with Production to reduce internal and external scrap rates,
• Tracks customer requirements during both project and serial production phases; prepares and maintains required documentation,
• Actively participates in Lean Manufacturing activities and continuous improvement initiatives,
• Represents the customer internally during serial production; coordinates customer-driven activities and ensures timely feedback in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Quality Team Leader,
• Follows up quality issues related to electronic modules and PCB assemblies (e.g., LED boards, control units),
• Conducts failure analysis for electronic-related complaints such as LED failure, soldering defects, short circuits, and PCB damage,
• Supports EOL (End-of-Line) functional test validations and electrical verification activities during serial production,
• Ensures compliance with ESD protection standards and electronic component handling requirements in production and supplier processes,
• Coordinates corrective actions related to electronic components and module-level failures.
What Are the Requirements for a Customer Quality Team Member at Farplas?
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Industrial, Automotive, or related fields),
• Fluent English proficiency,
• Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 and ISO EN 14001 standards,
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality within the automotive industry,
• Background or hands-on experience in electronic modules, PCB assemblies, or automotive lighting systems is an asset,
• Basic knowledge of PCB structure, soldering processes, electronic components, LED systems, and common failure modes,
• Familiarity with EOL test processes and electrical validation methods,
• Knowledge of ESD standards and electronic handling requirements,
• Proficient in MS Office (preferably with Catia and AutoCAD knowledge),
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques (8D, Root Cause Analysis, etc.),
• Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills,
• Valid driver’s license and active driving ability,
• Customer-oriented mindset with strong coordination and follow-up skills.
• Residing or able to reside on the Asian side of Istanbul or in the Kocaeli region,
