Customer Service / Account Services Representative

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our Account Services team. In this role, you will assist Policyholders, agents, and mortgage companies by responding to inquiries, processing payments, and supporting policy servicing needs.

This position is primarily based in our Flemington office, where our team collaborates closely to provide excellent service to our Policyholders.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people and wants to build a rewarding career in the insurance industry. Paid training is provided, and no prior insurance experience is required.

This role is similar to positions such as Customer Service Representative, Insurance Customer Service Representative, Account Coordinator, Billing Representative, or Client Services Representative.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries by phone and email while maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Process customer payments through banking and policy management systems.
  • Handle mortgagee changes and other policy servicing requests.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure attention to detail in all transactions.
  • Provide courteous, empathetic service to Policyholders and business partners.
  • Assist with additional account services tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and pleasant telephone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and helpful when assisting customers with concerns.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software systems.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience in a professional office environment.
  • Previous insurance billing or customer service experience is a plus.

Education

  • Associate degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Candidates with a high school diploma and relevant experience will also be considered.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

No prior insurance industry experience is required — we provide training for the right candidate. Ideal candidates may have experience in customer service, billing support, payment processing, administrative support, banking, insurance servicing, or call center environments. Candidates with banking, financial services, insurance, or professional office experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. First performance review at 6 months with opportunity for pay increase.
  • Bonus Opportunity: Up to 25% of salary based on company results. When the company succeeds, our employees succeed!

Additional Information

  • Full-time position.
  • Pay range is approximate and dependent on background and experience.
  • Monday–Friday schedule.
  • This role is an office-based position in Flemington, NJ, with occasional remote work available when circumstances require flexibility.
  • Candidates must be able to reliably commute to our office.
