Customer Service and Office Assistant

Overview
Gem Air is an air service company based in Salmon, Idaho. Our mission is to provide our customers with safe, reliable, and clean air service from a friendly and professional staff.

We are looking for a customer service/office assistant for Summer 2022. The job trains in late May with the regular schedule running June through August, and into September if your schedule allows. This job can be very busy and requires that you be able to think on your feet, handle stressed out customers, and work in an occasionally hectic environment. Must also be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and clients professionally at the front desk, providing outstanding customer service with friendly phone etiquette.
• Taking reservations over the phone, directing other calls accurately, and taking detailed messages when necessary.
• Handle data entry tasks, maintain organized filing systems, and perform general clerical duties such as proofreading documents and managing correspondence.
• Support office management activities including calendar management and booking pilot accommodations
• Assist with bookkeeping responsibilities using QuickBooks basic financial recordkeeping.
• Help with cleaning the office and ensuring the office environment remains tidy and welcoming.
• Assist with weighing and organizing bags for flights.
• Provide administrative support as needed, including personal assistant tasks such as calendar updates and travel arrangements.

Requirements

• Experienced computer skills, prefer work history including computers
• Good communication skills, strong preference for work history that includes customer service
• Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Weekend availability – both Saturday and Sunday are potential regularly scheduled days
• Be able to interact with people in a professional, friendly manner, even under stress
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
