Sunburst Memorials has been in business since 1917 and is a part of the Scipi Family of Companies. We believe that our values and conducting business the Scipi way has led us to growing our memorial business to over 20 retail stores and 150 dealers across the Midwest. Scipi is a 100% employee-owned organization based in Central MN, employing 250 team members across the Midwest and Canada.

This position is located at our Sunburst Memorials Headquarters in St. Cloud, also known as the Granite City, is home to several parks and attractions highlighting our granite mining history. For example, Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is a 683 acre preserve with 20 former granite quarries and is a great place to swim, scuba, fish, climb, or admire.
Position Description:
The Customer Service Associate plays an important role at Sunburst Memorials in delivering outstanding customer service and sales support while ensuring a high-quality product that honors and memorializes loved ones.

This position has a base hourly range of $20 - $25 per hour.

Essential Functions:
  • Order Processing & Quality Control: accurately enter memorial product orders (e.g., granite, photos, bronze, vases), perform quality checks on order and design work, track performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues through cross-functional collaboration to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • Client Support & Team Collaboration: provide accurate product details, pricing, and order updates while collaborating with sales, design, and operations teams to meet deadlines and maintain prompt, respectful communication across all channels (mail, email, fax, phone, etc.)
  • Process Knowledge & Operational Support: understand the full granite process from intake to completion, maintain accurate file records and order entries, basic estimating tasks, and assist with overflow projects and additional duties as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a positive, solution-focused attitude and strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all organizational level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications, with strong verbal and written communication, math, spelling, and proofreading skills
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively in team settings, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and development
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year customer service experience in an office setting
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Preferred Experience:
  • 3+ years customer service experience in an office setting
  • Prior granite experience
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and climb and descend stairs as needed
  • Willingness to occasionally work in a noisy, dusty environment
  • Work days are M-F but overtime may be necessary to help team meet deadlines
