Customer Service Associate / Cashier

We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Smoke Shop Retail Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store, and helping customers find the products that meet their needs. You will also be expected to ensure compliance with age restrictions and regulatory standards related to the sale of tobacco and smoking-related products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with product selection, answering questions about items such as tobacco, vape products, pipes, accessories, and other related goods.
• Maintain knowledge of current products, industry trends, and store promotions to provide accurate information to customers.
• Ensure customers are of legal age to purchase smoking-related products by checking identification as needed.
• Handle transactions accurately, process cash and credit card payments, and issue receipts.
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with restocking products, and inform management of low stock or potential shortages.
• Assist in keeping the store compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations related to the sale of smoking products.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store, offering exceptional service to all customers.
• Help with opening and closing the store, including cash register balancing, securing the store, and ensuring all procedures are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous retail experience is a plus, especially in a smoke shop or similar environment.
• Knowledge of smoking-related products and industry trends is preferred.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly and approachable attitude.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (in accordance with local regulations).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
