Customer Service Dispatcher

Job Summary

Sierra Aviation is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Customer Service Dispatcher to support our wheelchair assistance operations. This role is critical in coordinating service requests, communicating with field agents (runners), and ensuring passengers receive timely and efficient assistance throughout the airport. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks with urgency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and service requests from airlines, passengers, and airport personnel
  • Dispatch wheelchair agents (runners) to assigned tickets, gates, arrivals, and pre-boards in a timely manner
  • Monitor active requests and adjust assignments to ensure efficiency and on-time service
  • Maintain constant communication with runners via radio and/or phoneAccurately log and track service requests in the system
  • Coordinate pre-board and gate assistance to ensure priority passengers are serviced on time
  • Handle high call volume while maintaining professionalism and composure
  • Resolve service issues quickly and escalate when necessary
  • Work closely with airline staff and supervisors to maintain smooth operations

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Prior dispatch, call center, or customer service experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch systems
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening (airport requirement)
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using radios or dispatch systems
  • Bilingual is a plus
