The Role

We are seeking a motivated Customer Service Insurance Agent to serve as the primary point of contact for our clients and their employees. In this hybrid role, you will manage inquiries regarding policy details, claims processing, enrollment, and benefits administration. You will leverage your knowledge of insurance products to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining the high standards of service Chubb is known for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Support: Serve as the first line of defense for inbound calls, emails, and chats from policyholders, brokers, and employers regarding coverage, claims, and billing.
  • Policy Administration: Assist with new business enrollments, life event changes, terminations, and renewals in accordance with carrier guidelines.
  • Claims Assistance: Guide customers through the claims process.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze complex situations to provide accurate, timely, and compliant resolutions to customer inquiries.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, ensuring all interactions are logged correctly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting, claims, and sales teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to all state and federal regulations regarding insurance practices and data privacy (HIPAA).

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably within the insurance or healthcare benefits sector.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance terminology, group health plans, and claims processes.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience navigating multiple databases simultaneously. Experience with CRM software is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, empathy, patience, and the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid state insurance producer license (or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire) is highly preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
