Customer Service Representative & Delivery Logistics

Shipshewana Furniture Co.(Blue Gate Hospitality Group) seeks a full-time Customer Service Representative focusing on Delivery Logistics to join our team! We are seeking candidates with experience with computers and phones who are friendly, detail-oriented, and willing to serve. Being able to multitask and juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential. Prior knowledge of fine furniture and the hardwood industry is helpful, but a willingness to learn is the only requirement.

This position will focus on handling delivery logistics, including scheduling and routing all furniture deliveries across our sales region. Organization and communication are crucial to success in this position, ensuring customers are served in a kind & time efficient manner. This position involves working directly with our delivery and warehouse staff and with customers to schedule deliveries and address concerns when our delivery staff is in the customer’s home.

You will be expected to learn & perform the following tasks:

• Be willing to learn basic product information and troubleshooting.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Respond to customer emails & inquiries.
• Assist the sales staff and the rest of the customer service team as needed (this may involve helping in the showroom, running the cash register, and data entry).
• Create delivery schedules for a typical 4-day-a-week daily delivery route.
• Contact customers to schedule and confirm delivery information.
• Work with customers on special delivery requests and communicate those to the delivery staff.
• Process payments.
• Make load lists for each delivery route, working with the warehouse team and delivery staff.

You will need experience with or be willing to learn the following software programs:

• Excel
• Google Maps
• Counterpoint
• Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
