The  Specialty Minerals (SMI)  segment produces and sells the synthetic mineral product precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC), mines mineral ores and processes and sells natural mineral products, primarily limestone and talc. This segment's products are used principally in the paper, building materials, paint and coatings, glass, ceramic, polymer, food, automotive and pharmaceutical industries.



We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service & Logistics Specialist based at our facility in Istanbul, Turkey.

Customer Service & Logistics Specialist is responsible for (but not limited to) customer service for all domestic and international customers, responding to customer requests in timely and efficient manner, obtaining carrier rates, arranging freight and domestic and export operations in coordination with the Sales and Manufacturing Teams, and follows up all the domestic and international orders and shipments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Excellent English both verbal and written skills required. Occasional coverage for other countries and regions may be required. 


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Management of customer service, order management, including pricing, proforma invoices, credit/collection, new customer, and location set up for both local and abroad customers.


  • Daily management of logistics, warehousing, and shipments for both local and abroad customers.


  • Inventory control – insuring safety stock and kanban system are in place for abroad customers.


  • Oversight of dispatching of product from site, invoicing and completion of all shipping documentation for local customers.


  • Manage and maintain carrier and distributor contracts in company contract management system.


  • Responsible for sales, inventory, customer complaint reporting and Voice of the Customer (VOC) surveys.


  • Demand Planning including organization of sales forecast for operations plan & interface with financial team.


  • KPI’s include OTIF, Invoice Accuracy, Customer Responsiveness


  • Booking sales orders in Oracle for local customers


  • Sending problematic orders to EMEA team (hold customer)


  • Raising the sales invoices, scanning of the AP invoices received to paywiz for Local customers


  • Coding proper product line on the invoices.


  • Entering DFF columns on freight recovery report.


  • Preparing monthly forecast report for month end close.


  • Working with accounting team closely and responding queries related accounting and finance of the operation. 


  • Ensure company safety targets are met.


  • Duties and responsibilities may be assigned or reassigned to this job at any time.


  • Actively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving.



REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from a four-year university.

Minimum 3 years of experience, performing International Customer Service and Logistics in a manufacturing environment with in depth knowledge of export documentation and compliance requirements.

Experience in an ERP system integrated environment, preferably with Oracle E-Business Suite Applications.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet a must


COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Possess excellent English language verbal and written skills and effectively present communication/information when required.

Must be reliable, well organized and able to work independently, with minimal supervision

Strong collaborative, problem solving and interpersonal skills, very detail oriented with proven ability to prioritize


TRAVEL          

Travel may occur on an infrequent basis.
