Customer Service -Manufacturing

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Customer Service to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer support and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. You will leverage your strong communication skills and customer service expertise to enhance client satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.

Duties

  • Provide outstanding customer support through various channels, including phone, email, and webisite.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and promote services.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless client services and effective problem resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in our ERP systems.
  • Manage high volume of calls and emails from various prospects and customers about GPC products including placing new orders and or samples, following up on existing order, product questions, request for quotes, and/or tracking a shipment.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of GPC product line and become proficient in reading TDS/SDS to understand GPC products.
  • Review customers purchase order and verify pricing, part number accuracy, addresses, contacts, ship dates, and terms of sale.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and complete all required freight documentation from domestic and international freight.
  • Understand the requirements of shipping international freight and hazardous goods domestically and internationally.
  • Responsible for working within customer portals to obtain new order, confirm orders, determine in any revisions are required prior to providing acknowledgement.
  • Maintaining updated price books for every customer/prospect in the ERP system.
  • Maintaining and updating the CRM with accuracy and task opportunities to appropriate department.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the overall customer experience.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a customer service role in an office environment.
  • Extreme attention to detail and accuracy while handling multiple tasks at one time with multiple interruptions.
  • Strong skills in client services, with a focus on building rapport and trust with customers.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with computerized systems for tracking customer interactions is highly desirable, (CRM).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, work, power point) and ERP, and CRM system.
  • Experience with managing and scheduling freight/transportation from our facility to the customer facility.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
