Customer Service Optician

Job Summary
We are a locally-owned, boutique-style private optometry practice established in 2019 in New Braunfels. Our practice is dedicated to personalized care and exceptional service for every patient. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our patients, and offering them a curated selection of unique, high-quality eyewear you won't find in big box stores. We are looking for a personable, highly motivated, and energetic candidate to join our friendly work family!

Responsibilities

• Help create a warm and exceptional boutique experience for all patients.
• Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and lifestyle needs.
• Perform fittings and adjustments on eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
• Collaborate with the optometrists to interpret prescriptions and provide recommendations.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, ensuring that patient inquiries and appointment requests are handled with utmost importance.
• Manage inventory of optical products, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear and optical technology.

Skills

• Excellent sales skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in retail management within an optical or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of optical equipment and processes, including lens types and frame materials.
• Basic understanding of medical coding related to optometry services.
• Interest in fashion, trends, or health care is a plus.

Seeking candidates who are highly motivated to grow the practice, and grow with the practice; as well as willing to cross-train in various clinical, administrative and optical roles. Pay dependent on Optical experience, skill sets and expertise.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
