Customer Service Representative

Position & Purpose

Customer Service / Counter Sales, Kingsford - To service our professional and homeowner customers who come into the store for rental and purchase needs. A successful candidate will be courteous, a great listener and quick to offer solutions to assure that each customer has the PREMIER Midway Experience.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Wage based on experience

Responsibilities

· Greet customers at the sales counter in a quick & friendly manner

· Learn and follow Midway defined sales process with our rental and sales programs

· Coordinate incoming sales calls, process orders and possess a determination to grow new and existing customers by offering solutions for their current project and future needs

· Utilizes company PoR program for detailed entry of customer information / interactions and future rental bookings

· Collect payment through cash, credit cards or accounts receivable

· Constant growth of knowledge for Midway product selection and services available to customers through company provided training programs (online / in-person)

· Stay current on knowledge of equipment rental costs – daily, weekly & monthly rates

· Demonstrate a working knowledge of larger machines and small rental equipment to assist our customers in making the right choice for their projects

· Maintain professional appearance of self as well as company equipment and product on the showroom floor

· Make outbound calls to confirm rental reservations, delivery addresses and coordinate returns of equipment that have high demand

Requirements

· High School diploma or equivalent GED

· MUST HAVE Monday through Friday with ability to work from 6am to 5:30pm (summer hours) as the business cycle dictates

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

· High Sense of Urgency when responding to customer’s inquiries

· Working knowledge of construction tools and small powered equipment a plus

· Basic knowledge of merchandising sales floor – product fill, pricing, appearance

· Ability to use standard desktop software applications and internet functions

· Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Able to travel by vehicle/airplane for educational seminars and trade shows
