Customer Service Representative

Overview:

The Customer Service Representative is tasked with providing excellent customer service while handling financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. In addition, the Customer Service Representative should be comfortable engaging with customers daily, effectively communicating with a diverse range of clients, and serving as the first point of contact.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operates on-line teller terminal to perform various transactions; including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, transfers, loan payments, and more.
  • Process cash advances, cashiers’ checks, money orders, and other similar transactions.
  • Assist customers with account inquiries, explain banking products and services, and address basic concerns or issues.
  • Accurately balance and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Follow all bank policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to maintain an efficient workflow and provide exceptional service.
  • Balance ATM(s) or coin machine, as assigned.
  • Perform drive-up CSR duties and night drop functions as assigned.
  • Conduct account maintenance, open and close accounts.
  • Assist customers with products or services (CDs, IRAs, deposit accounts).
  • Assist/rotate reception role as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with strong focus on accuracy.
  • Accuracy in handling cash transactions, counting cash, and performing basic math.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use problem-solving skill and resolve customer inquiries effectively.
