Customer Service Representative

Customer service is a hallmark of our company at 48 Hour Books, and we're looking to expand our team! Must be smart, outgoing and reliable. We’ll teach you the rest!

We print books for authors, small publishers, and businesses across the country. Our current customers love us. We answer their questions intelligently and actually help them get their books printed as efficiently as possible. We give them the confidence that we can do what we promise.

This is NOT cold-calling or sales. You will provide telephone, email, and occasional online chat support to our customers and prospects. You will process orders and answer client questions about our capabilities, our process, and our pricing. We will provide complete training. You will not be reading prompts from a script.

Duties:

• Answering customer questions via telephone, email, and/or online chat
• Updating order information as needed
• Managing client accounts and orders including pricing, timing, order specifications, and shipping coordination
• Eliminating potential problems by clarifying the customer's needs; following up to ensure resolution
• Recording client interactions in internal system and communicating effectively across departments (customer service, pre-press, production, and shipping) to effectively meet the needs and expectations of clients

Skills/Qualifications:

This position is full-time, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday and can be fully in-office or hybrid if desired (2 in-office days per week minimum required). A training period of several weeks MUST be completed in our office in person, which is based in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years experience in customer service
• Proficient at typing and basic computer use
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to address complaints and issues with effective solutions and a positive attitude
• Passion for delighting customers with above and beyond service
• Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
