Customer Service Representative
The Veteran who needs that migraine device? You're the reason it shows up on time.
Somewhere today, a Navy corpsman at a Military Treatment Facility picks up the phone and orders a piece of equipment for a Veteran in her care. On the other end of that call is someone at QB Medical who picks it up on the first ring, knows exactly what she needs, and makes sure it ships.
We're hiring that someone.
QB Medical is a business based in Chula Vista. We distribute medical equipment and supplies to VA Medical Centers, Military Treatment Facilities, and DoD healthcare sites across the country. Every order we touch ends up in the hands of a clinician caring for a Veteran, a Service Member, or a military family.
That is not a bullet point on our website. That is the whole job.
HERE'S THE REAL PITCH
Most customer service jobs are invisible. You answer the phone, you close the ticket, you clock out, and nobody outside your cubicle could tell you what you actually did all day.
This one is different, for three reasons:
1. The work is visible. We are a small, tight team. Leadership knows your name by the end of week one. Your good ideas get implemented, not filed.
2. The customers are worth it. You are supporting the nurses, therapists, and contracting officers inside the VA and DoD who take care of our Veterans. When you fix something for them, you can feel the weight of it.
3. The path is real. We run a modern stack (Salesforce, cloud phones, real CRM automation) and we train people up. Customer service here is a starting line, not a ceiling.
WHAT A GOOD DAY LOOKS LIKE
You walk in, coffee in hand. A VA purchasing agent emailed overnight about a delayed shipment. You have the answer in Salesforce before she's back at her desk, and you call her anyway because a voice beats an email.
A sales rep in the field needs a quote turned around fast. You build it clean, confirm the delivery date, and send it out before lunch.
In the afternoon, a return comes in. You process it without drama, update the account, and flag a pattern you've been noticing to your manager. That pattern turns into a process fix next quarter, and your name is on it.
You leave at 5. Nothing is hanging. You did work that mattered.
