Customer Service Representative

The Library Store strives to provide solutions and services that libraries and education communities need to succeed. Our goal is to not only provide our customers with an excellent purchasing experience, but to help them revitalize and evolve their spaces using the most current and innovative solutions.

We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced customer service representative to join our Customer Care team. The ideal candidate will be part of a team that provides any support needed by our customers in an effort to earn their business, as well as foster ongoing relationships that will encourage future business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process quotes, paper orders and electronic orders in our ERP business system.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, fax, mail, e-mail and web chat. This may include:
  • Product questions / suggestions
  • Order status updates / tracking information
  • Customer account updates
  • Invoice / statement requests
  • Payment processing
  • Collaborate with other departments to solve customer issues.
  • Ensure accurate order entry for orders submitted by customers as well as peers.
  • Open and close the office.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Phone skills that provide a warm and friendly customer interaction are a must.
  • The ability to resolve customer issues diplomatically is essential.
  • Must be highly motivated, detail oriented and self-directed.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • General computer proficiency and strong typing skills are needed.
  • Prompt and regular attendance is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior customer service experience.
