Customer Service Representative

The Center for Urban Family Planning is committed to improving access to family planning resources, reproductive health education, and community support services. We strive to provide compassionate, confidential, and client-centered assistance to individuals and families seeking guidance and care.

We are currently seeking a professional and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, live chat, and other communication channels.
  • Provide accurate information regarding programs, services, appointments, and community resources.
  • Assist clients with scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions in the company database.
  • Address client concerns professionally and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Follow confidentiality and privacy guidelines when handling sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure prompt resolution of client requests.
  • Support administrative projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous customer service, call center, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.
  • Professional, empathetic, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, or social service environments.
  • Knowledge of appointment scheduling systems and client management software.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
