The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to develop expertise in flood insurance products, carrier processes, and compliance requirements. This is a customer service and administrative role that provides excellent support to AFR’s customers and the agency’s producers.
What you’d be doing:
· Perform complex administrative tasks, including answering busy phones, obtaining missing data (addresses, documents, signatures, etc.) during the course of binding customer policies
· Providing documents and information to agents, lenders, and insureds when requested
· Fostering strong relationships with clients to maintain client retention
· Acquires an understanding of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)’s Mandatory Purchase Guidelines (flood zone definitions, insurance requirements, grandfathering, seven-year rule) and basic compliance questions
· Processing endorsements, audits and cancellations, including delivery to client
· Answering customer questions regarding coverage changes, problems, certificates, etc.; referring to Producers when necessary
The skills you’d bring to AFR:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
· Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in an insurance agency or similar administrative role; property and casualty (P&C) insurance experience preferred
· Possess basic understanding of insurance policies (declaration pages, lender/servicer requirements, lender forced-placed)
· Active Texas P&C Insurance License or obtained within 90 days of hire; required
· Proficient in use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
