Customer Service Representative - Contract to Hire

Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (OT eligible).

Here’s a deeper dive into what you’ll take on:

  • Answer all incoming phone calls and emails from the field.
  • Monitor ticketing system, assign to the appropriate area within the Field Support Team, and manage tickets related to the Tool Shop.
  • Generate and manage pick tickets for tools within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment
  • Work with the purchasing team to identify potential backorders and communicate changes to the Field for special orders.
  • Provide backup support with transfer ticket creation.
  • Represent FST/Call center at internal operational meetings, project kick-off, and site visits.
  • PPE recall communication. Review recall details from the supplier and summarize important information to communicate to the field by email.
  • Prepare and coordinate shipping of packages via UPS and FedEx.
  • Promote and lead by example teamwork and customer service when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the office clean and organized.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
  • Relationships: Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the crafts, including shop and field craft personnel. Foster positive relationships with customer representatives, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, safety, CAD/BIM, accounting, IT, and all project teams.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of customer service-related position, or administrative experience in a warehouse, logistics, or dispatch environment. Preferred: Experience with purchase orders or shipping paperwork, or vendor coordination.
  • Skills: Proven ability to quickly build relationships with customers via the phone and email. Demonstrated excellence in customer service, organization, and communication skills. Sense of urgency in work operations. Strong attention to detail and high accuracy with data entry. Solid organizational and time management skills. Clear and professional communication skills (verbal and written). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook). Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Mindset: Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a logistics environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This office-based role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, performing repetitive tasks such as typing and using a mouse. Candidates must have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling office equipment and documents weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching are necessary, including movement through warehouse spaces as needed. The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
