Customer Service Representative (CSR) – Commercial Insurance Support

We’re currently looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our Commercial Insurance department and help deliver an outstanding client experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

Connect & Assist

Answer inbound client calls professionally and efficiently while assisting with billing questions, onboarding support, payment reminders, and general policy-related inquiries.

Support Client Onboarding

Assist newly bound commercial insurance clients through the onboarding process by helping collect documents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring accounts are properly set up.

Assist Account Managers

Work closely with Account Managers and Producers to support existing clients, assist with follow-ups, manage administrative tasks, and help maintain strong client relationships.

Manage Client Payments

Contact clients regarding bounced payments, missed payments, or payment reminders while maintaining professionalism and strong customer service.

Inbox & Administrative Support

Assist with inbox management, client follow-up emails, updating notes in Salesforce, and organizing internal servicing requests.

Learn & Grow

Gain hands-on experience within the commercial insurance industry while developing skills in client servicing, operations, onboarding, and account support.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound client calls and provide excellent customer service
  • Assist clients with onboarding and account setup processes
  • Support Account Managers with servicing tasks and client communication
  • Contact clients regarding payment reminders or returned payments
  • Assist with billing-related questions and direct inquiries appropriately
  • Update client information and notes in Salesforce and internal systems
  • Manage incoming emails and assist with inbox organization
  • Coordinate with internal departments and insurance carriers as needed
  • Collect required onboarding documentation from clients
  • Maintain professionalism and urgency while assisting clients

What You Bring To The Table

Experience

  • 1+ year of customer service, administrative, call center, or insurance office experience preferred
  • Commercial insurance experience is a plus but not required

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable handling phone calls throughout the day
  • Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new systems and software

Software Experience

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Salesforce
  • Microsoft Office
  • Google Workspace
  • QuickBooks

Licensing

  • Property & Casualty License is a plus but not required
  • Willingness to obtain an insurance license in the future is encouraged
