Customer Service Representative (Machine Shop)

Aerospace Contacts was founded in 1999 to provide high quality, short lead-time contacts and other precision machined components for the aerospace, medical device, military and defense, and oil and gas industries. We are a mid-size machine shop located in Gilbert, AZ, and we focus on Swiss screw machining and multi-axis lathe machining. We work diligently to ensure our customers’ needs are met, achieving maximum benefit from our experts, products and services.

ABOUT THE JOB

This is a full-time position, and the candidate will work on-site at our facility in Gilbert.

In this role, the Customer Service Representative will manage assigned customers' satisfaction including pricing, delivery, quality and responsiveness; create cost estimates and provide quotes on customer requirements in a timely manner; report on assigned customers’ needs and problems including delivery and quality; work closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Sales to provide customer support; investigate and qualify sales leads and support new product development; and perform data entry using MS Office, Company Intranet, Quote database, and the Company's ERP system.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that assigned customers have assistance as needed.
  • Answer calls/emails from customers and provide necessary information.
  • Liaison between customer, Engineering, Sales, Production to provide necessary services.
  • Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications
  • Develop and maintain well-coordinated relationships with assigned customers.
  • Provide quotes on new and existing products.
  • Determine proper manufacturing process and lead times with planning and production.
  • Investigate new sales leads and support new product development.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED is required. Associates degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in a technical field (aerospace preferred) providing customer service and/or inside sales.
  • Proficient in English (oral and written) to interact with customers.
  • Courteous manner with customers, vendors and employees.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Flexible in work assignments, able to multi-task, able to meet deadlines.
  • Team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
