Job summary
PTI is looking for an experienced, reliable, organized, and motivated person to help meet customer scheduling needs. The Customer Service Representative will help coordinate day to day activities of PTI's driver fleet.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the impact that comes with last minute schedule changes
• Monitor driver progress throughout the day and update freight managers as to any delays
• Act as a communication liaison between PTI and its customers and drivers
• Work in concert with maintenance department to limit delays due to breakdowns and scheduled maintenance
• Secure pickup and delivery times for drivers
• Manage home time schedules for drivers
• Promote a company culture centered on our PTI PRIDE values

Required skills

• High school diploma/GED required
• 2-3 years of work experience in the logistics business; Primarily in dispatching, brokerage, and customer service.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
• Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area
• Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
• Ability to train, lead, and evaluate dispatch team member

Compensation A competitive compensation package is in place that recognizes the employee’s contributions to the overall company goals. Compensation will be tied primarily to the employee’s dispatch responsibilities, but the management of staff dispatchers and brokerage staff’s performance will be associated with the total package.

Salary is negotable based on experience

Pay: $22.50 - $30.00 per hour
