Customer Service & Showroom Associate

Apex Granite Outlet is hiring a Customer Service & Showroom Associate for our growing San Marcos showroom. This is a customer-facing role for someone who enjoys working with people, learning a real product line, and being part of a fast-moving team that supports homeowners, contractors, and designers on their kitchen and bath projects.

You'll spend most of your time on the showroom floor and at the design desk — greeting customers, helping them through cabinet, countertop, and finish selections, building quotes, and following up on active projects. You'll also support general showroom and warehouse operations as needed, which includes physical work and being on your feet throughout the shift.

What You'll Do

Customer Service & Sales (primary focus)

• Greet walk-in customers, contractors, designers, and pickup orders
• Help clients select cabinet styles, colors, countertops, and matching materials
• Build kitchen layouts and design plans using our design software (training provided)
• Prepare quotes and invoices in QuickBooks
• Follow up on open quotes and active projects to keep deals moving
• Develop relationships with trade clients (designers, contractors, remodelers)
• Stay current on our cabinet lines, door styles, color options, and pricing

Showroom & Operations Support

• Help maintain showroom displays and product samples
• Support the warehouse and front desk team during pickups and busy periods
• Assist with general showroom organization and merchandising
• Other showroom and operations tasks as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude
• Comfortable using a computer for quotes, invoicing, and product lookups
• Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Able to handle the physical demands of the role (see Physical Requirements below)
• Basic computer software knowledge.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

• Previous customer service, retail, sales, or building materials experience
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar invoicing software
• Familiarity with kitchen/cabinet design software (2020 Design, KCD, CabBuilder, or similar) — or willingness to learn (we'll train)
• Eye for color and material coordination

Physical Requirements

This role involves both showroom and warehouse work. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout an 8-hour shift
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Move stock and samples around the showroom and warehouse as needed
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and (after training)
