Customer Service Specialist / Graphic Design

This role is roughly 80 percent customer service and 20 percent production art/graphic design. The headline is the customer side: greeting walk-ins warmly, building real relationships with repeat clients over the phone and email, preparing quotes, managing orders, and coordinating with production to keep jobs on track. The design side is layout-focused: banners, signs, stickers, and other wide-format prints.

We are looking for a cheerful, friendly, very organized person. The right candidate is someone customers genuinely like talking to and who tracks the details so nothing falls through the cracks. We are willing to teach print production specifics. We are not in a position to teach warmth or organization. Those are the bar.

What You Will Do

Account Management (about 80 percent of your time)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new customers and assigned customer accounts. Build and maintain relationships through phone, email, and in-person interaction.
  • Greet walk-in customers warmly and professionally. The front office is the first impression LARGEPRINTING.com makes, and you are it.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals based on customer needs, following our pricing guidelines.
  • Enter and manage orders through our ERP system. Keep order data accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate with production and installation teams to keep projects on track and on deadline. Surface scheduling issues early.
  • Follow up with customers after project completion to confirm satisfaction and identify future needs.
  • Reach out to past customers and existing warm leads to generate repeat business. This is warm follow-up with people who already know us, not cold prospecting.
  • Keep the front office organized: customer files, order paperwork, samples, supplies.

Graphic Design (about 20 percent of your time)

  • Lay out print-ready artwork : banners, yard signs, stickers, and other wide-format prints using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Prepare and preflight files for production: correct color profiles, bleed, resolution, panel layout, file naming conventions.
  • Adapt customer-provided logos and artwork into production-ready formats. Clean up, rescale, and vectorize as needed.
  • Collaborate with customers on revisions and approvals.
  • Hand finished files cleanly to production. Production-ready, not "almost there."

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Working proficiency with Adobe Illustrator. At least one year of practical experience producing print-ready files (paid, freelance, or substantial coursework with portfolio evidence).
  • Demonstrated layout skills. Clean, accurate composition for print production. Bring work samples that show real production output, not just digital mockups.
  • Strong verbal and written communication. You can explain timelines and design choices to customers who are not designers.
  • Direct customer-facing experience. Phone, email, and in-person, in any combination. Retail, hospitality, inside sales, customer service, or front-office work all count.
  • Cheerful, friendly, customer-first personality. This shows up in how you talk to people, not just on a resume.
  • Strong organizational habits. You manage multiple jobs, deadlines, and conversations at once without dropping things.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Reliable and detail-oriented. You take ownership of your accounts and your files.

Preferred (not required, but will set you apart)

  • 2+ years of professional experience with Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience laying out for business printing, apparel, signs, stickers, or wide-format print production.
  • Background in inside sales, account management, or consultative customer service.
  • Familiarity with wide-format printing processes, materials, and finishing.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Experience with project management or order management software.
  • Background in the sign, print, apparel, or wide-format industry.
  • Vehicle graphics experience (lettering, partial wraps, fleet decals).

So You Know What You Are Walking Into

A few things this role does not do, so you can tell up front whether the job fits:

  • This is not an outside sales role. There is no quota, no cold calling, and no new-logo prospecting. You will follow up with existing customers and warm inbound leads.
  • This is not a from-scratch design role. We are not hiring this seat to build brand identities, run original illustration projects, or do full creative direction. The design work is layout-focused, working from customer-supplied artwork and our existing design library.

If those boundaries are a fit, the rest of the job is the kind of variety and customer relationship work a good account manager actually enjoys.
