HAPPI Health is seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Specialist to support our busy, multi-location medical clinics. We are looking for a team member with a positive attitude, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for serving underserved communities.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including scheduling appointments and confirming patient information.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems such as Athena nor efficient data management.
  • Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy in patient information.
  • File and organize medical records, ensuring easy retrieval when needed
  • Address patient inquiries regarding services, procedures, and office policies.
  • Verify insurance eligibility
  • Take copays from patients
  • Verify weight and height of patients
  • Room and discharge patients
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Answer multi-line phone
  • Create patient charts
  • Bilingual is a PLUS !

Experience

  • Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Familiarity with medical coding practices and terminology is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems; experience with Athena is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical records management and filing systems is essential.

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
