Customer Service/Server/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced environment for 11am - 5pm shifts and 5-11pm shifts. This is not a position for a student unless they have at least 3 days per week available. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. This role involves providing excellent service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
• Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards by sanitizing work areas and equipment regularly.
• Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy in processing payments
• Assist in suggestive selling for menu items to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, kitchen, and cashier station.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff when needed.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a café or grocery store setting, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A culinary background or interest in food preparation is a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
