Customer Support Specialist

About the role:

We're trickcv, a chrome extension and web app that tailors CVs to specific job

descriptions in seconds using AI. We're live in the Chrome Web Store with a

few hundred active users and growing fast. As we scale, we need a customer

support person to be the friendly voice answering questions, helping new users

through their first tailored CV, and flagging product issues back to the

team.

This is a part-time hourly role, ~10-15 hours per week to start, with room to

expand as we grow. You'll work directly with the founder and have real impact

on the user experience.

What you'll work on:

- Email and in-app chat support for trickcv users

- Helping new users through their first CV tailoring (our activation moment)

- Triaging product feedback and bug reports, routing to engineering

- Building out a small help center and FAQ as common questions surface

- Occasional short Loom walkthroughs for users stuck on a flow

Requirements:

- Excellent written English (non-negotiable, you'll be talking to US/UK/EU

users daily)

- Empathetic, patient, genuinely curious about people's job-hunt struggles

- Comfortable with chat tools (Intercom, Crisp, or similar)

- Some prior customer support or community management experience

- Can work async with at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time

Nice to have, not required:

- Personal job-hunt experience (you've felt the CV pain firsthand)

- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) so you can explain them to

non-technical users

- Basic technical literacy (you know what a Chrome extension is)

- Experience supporting a SaaS or B2C product

- $10-15 per hour depending on experience, paid via Stripe / Wise / Polar
