Cutting Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify job data from the RMR, BOM, and Packing List; input cutting data into the machine, including length and number of panels; set up the machine for jobs with specific requirements like left or right laps.
• Operate the cutting machine, ensuring a smooth and continuous flow of panels; adjust cutting speeds for both the Band Saw and Circular Disk Saw.
• Perform comprehensive quality checks on the cut panels for length, width, thickness, and squareness; inspect for any visual defects such as burrs, scratches, dents, or gaps; communicate with the QC inspector to ensure product quality.
• Monitor blade life and replace blades as needed; communicate with Decoiler and Wrapping sections regarding any scrapped or missing panels.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cutting, shearing, or sawing machinery (preferably in sandwich panel line).
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
