Cutting Tool Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Cutting Tool Engineer to support machining operations through effective tool selection, CNC process planning, and optimization. The candidate will be responsible for studying engineering drawings, determining machining processes, and selecting suitable cutting tools to achieve productivity and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study engineering drawings and determine appropriate machining processes.
• Select and recommend cutting tools, inserts, and tool holders for CNC machines.
• Plan and optimize CNC machining operations for cycle time reduction and tool life improvement.
• Coordinate with production and programming teams to implement tooling solutions.
• Analyze machining issues and suggest corrective actions for process improvement.
• Maintain tool inventory and ensure timely availability of required tools.
• Support new product development and prototype machining.
• Prepare tooling documentation and standardization guidelines.

Educational Qualification:

• UG: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / B.Tech or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4–7 years of experience in cutting tool selection, CNC machining, or process planning.
• Strong knowledge of machining parameters, materials, and cutting tool geometries.
• Experience in CNC Turning and Milling operations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
