Cyber Security Project Coordinator

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Cybersecurity Project Manager / Scrum Master to fill an open position with one of our regulated energy utility clients. This role is an exciting opportunity to lead high-impact cybersecurity initiatives that protect critical infrastructure while partnering closely with both IT and business stakeholders. You will work across Agile and Waterfall environments, managing complex programs with significant financial and compliance considerations. This position offers strong visibility, cross-functional leadership, and the chance to influence security outcomes at scale.


What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead end-to-end cybersecurity projects using Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative methodologies, managing full project lifecycles and delivery artifacts.

Drive project planning, stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and alignment of security requirements with business objectives.

Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, capital vs. O&M spend, accruals, and variance reporting.

Facilitate collaboration across IT, security, compliance, and business teams while supporting change management and adoption strategies.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience managing large, complex IT and cybersecurity projects across Agile and Waterfall frameworks.

Strong background in project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource capacity planning.

Hands-on experience with project management tools and methodologies (SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, Iterative).

Proficiency with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and PowerBI.

Experience supporting risk, compliance, and governance initiatives, including issue tracking and exception management.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Pluses / Preferred Skills


Experience acting as both a Scrum Master and Project Manager.

Familiarity with Archer or similar GRC tools, including policy and standards management, risk assessments, and compliance support.

Project Management certification (PMP).

Agile certifications such as PSM (Professional Scrum Master) or PSPO.

ITIL v3 or v4 certification.

Familiarity with the energy or utilities industry.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
