Cyber Security Specialist – Major Global Organization

New York City, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week + occasional early evening meetings with Global Headquarters

Our client is a globally recognized leader in apparel and retail, operating a portfolio of internationally known brands across multiple markets worldwide. This role is ideal for a cybersecurity professional who can assess the current state of information systems, identify and evaluate risk holistically, and partner with both IT and business stakeholders to implement effective security controls that strengthen the organization’s global security posture.

Based in New York City, this role functions primarily as part of the Global Headquarters Information Security team while also supporting select North America Information Security Office initiatives. As a member of the Global Security Operations Center, the Cyber Security Specialist will support security monitoring, incident response, and continuous security enhancement efforts across a diverse environment that includes e-commerce platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud infrastructure (IaaS ).

Key Areas of Focus: Monitoring & Detection Engineering, Security Automation & Operational Improvement, Security Tool Evaluation & Implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Depending on experience, strengths, and interests, this individual will take ownership across several of the following areas:

• Implement, manage, and continuously improve cybersecurity technologies, including WAF, Anti-Bot, email security, web security, and endpoint protection solu tions
• Deploy and enhance insider threat prevention technologies such as DLP, CASB, and data security platforms
• Build, maintain, and optimize centralized log monitoring infrastructure and security detection content
• Plan and execute security assessments, penetration testing coordination, and cyberattack simulation exercises
• Investigate and respond to security incidents while driving remediation efforts and long-term security improvements
• Support broader enterprise risk management and information security initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 4–7+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, Cyber Threat Intelligence, or related cybersecurity disciplines
• Strong understanding of Incident Response methodologies, security investigations, and SOC operations
• Experience working within complex enterprise and/or cloud-based environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within a fast-paced, global environment
