Cyber Threat Intelligence Intern

The Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Intern is part of the Operations, Intelligence, and Services department, which resides on the Cyber Threat Intelligence team and reports to the Manager, Cyber Threat Intelligence. As our CTI Intern, you will gain experience while providing support to essential Cyber Threat Intelligence Team functions. This position supports the Center for Internet Security’s (CIS) 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC), where the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) monitors for, analyzes, and responds to cyber incidents affecting state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments. This internship is remote and temporary, working up to 29 hours per week.<p></p><p><b>What You&#39;ll Do:</b></p><ul><li><p>Perform basic analysis of data derived from various sources</p></li><li><p>Utilize the Security Operations Threat Intelligence Platform</p></li><li><p>Integrate and share information with other analysts and teams</p></li><li><p>Assist in applying U.S. Intelligence Community analytical standards</p></li><li><p>Assist with drafting cyber threat intelligence products on cyber security topics</p></li><li><p>Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You&#39;ll Need: </b></p><ul><li><p>2 years of study in Cybersecurity, Cyber Intelligence, Computer Science or related field</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of common Internet protocols, applications, and cyber threats</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of basic analysis and intelligence analysis techniques</p></li><li><p>Strong oral and written communication skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor</p></li><li><p>Must be authorized to work in the United States</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>It&#39;s a Plus if You Have:</b></p><ul><li><p>Current or former graduate student</p></li><li><p>Work experience with common Internet protocols, applications, and cyber threats</p></li><li><p>Work experience with intelligence analysis techniques</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>At CIS, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment in which the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and views of our employees, members, and customers are valued and respected.
