Job Summary

The Senior Security Analyst will support the IT Security Team by providing robust information security administration with a specialization in Azure cloud environments. This role involves configuring and operating essential Azure security services, collaborating on cloud-based projects, monitoring threats, investigating incidents, and developing security principles and standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Azure security tools and architecture, working closely with IT and IS teams to ensure a secure, compliant cloud infrastructure.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Azure Security Operations: Configure, operate, and manage Azure security services, including Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Key Vault, to safeguard cloud assets and data.

  • Collaboration and Project Involvement: Work alongside IT and Information Security teams on Azure-specific projects and initiatives to support secure and scalable deployments within the cloud.

  • Vulnerability Management: Consult with IT teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities within Azure environments, ensuring timely and effective risk mitigation.

  • Threat Monitoring and Incident Identification: Monitor Azure threat management systems to identify and assess potential security incidents or breaches within cloud systems.

  • Incident Investigation and Response: Investigate, analyze, and escalate security incidents related to Azure environments as needed, coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues swiftly.

  • Security Framework and Architecture Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of security principles, technical reference architectures, standards, baselines, and blueprints tailored for Azure, supporting a proactive and structured security posture.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate would possess an advanced level of experience, typically around 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, Information Technology and cloud security principles/concepts. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in Azure cloud security, seeking to make a significant impact on the organization’s cybersecurity framework.

Certification:

  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or similar Azure-focused certifications are preferred.

  • Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.

Salary Range: $85,000-100,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the company’s operational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, education, performance, internal equity, and geographic location.

Work Environments : This role offers a hybrid schedule, requiring three days weekly in the office. Applicants should be located near one of our hubs (Fairfield, IA or Phoenix, AZ) and must be willing to work this schedule. Cambridge is not considering remote candidates for this role at this time.
