JOB SUMMARY - SVP Worldwide is expanding its cybersecurity program and seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst II to support daily security operations, firewall governance, compliance readiness, and audit preparation. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a growing, build-from-scratch security function and wants to make an immediate impact on security posture and operational maturity.

Job Responsibilities

Security Operations & Monitoring

  • Monitor and triage SIEM alerts (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or comparable).
  • Investigate phishing attempts, endpoint threats, identity anomalies, and MFA failures.
  • Escalate high-risk incidents to leadership or MSSP with proper documentation.

Firewall & Network Security

  • Review and document firewall rules and security policies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar).
  • Assist with VPN, segmentation, and remote access configurations.
  • Ensure adherence to change control and network security standards.

Audit, Governance & Compliance

  • Support SOC 2, NIST CSF, cybersecurity insurance, and internal audit requests.
  • Maintain asset inventories, access review logs, privileged account tracking, and backup validation records.
  • Assist in updating security policies, including incident response, patching, and firewall standards.

Incident Response & Vulnerability Management

  • Participate in cybersecurity incident response and forensic evidence collection.
  • Track remediation efforts and monitor patching compliance in coordination with IT operations.
  • Assist with vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop SOPs, runbooks, workflow documentation, and incident playbooks.
  • Contribute to automation opportunities and security process improvements.
  • Participate in security tabletop exercises, business continuity planning, and lessons-learned reviews.

You Bring (requirements, preferred experience):

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 yrs equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems.
  • 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, etc.).
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, MFA, and identity access management (IAM).

Preferred

  • Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Meraki
  • Exposure to NIST CSF, SOC 2, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender XDR, Entra ID / Active Directory.
  • Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, or actively pursuing CISSP/CISM.

  • Willingness to develop, is self-aware and open to feedback
  • Customer focused with professional presence along with having confidence and comfort responding to inquiries

You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Any additional physical requirements
