Cybersecurity Consultant

Role Overview

The Cybersecurity & Data Protection Specialist will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing cybersecurity governance, data protection frameworks, and incident response mechanisms across IT, operations, and third-party service providers. The role focuses on ensuring system integrity, availability, and compliance with established cybersecurity standards and controls

Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and data protection frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 27001, cybersecurity controls, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in designing and implementing incident response plans and handling cybersecurity incidents.
  • Expertise in monitoring, logging, auditing, and remote-access security controls.
  • Knowledge of SOC operations, SIEM tools, and continuous monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, systems security, and application security.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, contractors, and managed service providers from a cybersecurity perspective.

Preferred Certifications (Good to Have)

  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor
  • CISSP / CISM / CEH
  • Any relevant cybersecurity or data protection certification
