A Cybersecurity Engineer protects an organization’s systems, networks, cloud platforms, and data from cyber threats such as hacking, malware, ransomware, phishing, and insider attacks.

Typical Job Description

Main Responsibilities

A Cybersecurity Engineer usually handles:

Designing and implementing security solutions

Monitoring networks and systems for threats

Managing:

firewalls

SIEM systems

IDS/IPS

endpoint security

cloud security

Performing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing

Investigating security incidents and responding to attacks

Implementing IAM/MFA (identity & access management)

Conducting security audits and compliance checks

Supporting SOC (Security Operations Center) activities

Developing security policies and best practices
