The Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in engaging clients during the sales cycle, understanding their cybersecurity challenges, and designing tailored technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales Technical Engagement

  • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to identify customer needs and craft cybersecurity solutions that align with their technical and business requirements.

  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions, technical workshops, and product demonstrations for prospects and existing clients.

  • Develop solution proposals, BoQs, and technical documentation tailored to each opportunity.

  • Design and present architecture diagrams, deployment frameworks, and integration plans for proposed solutions.

  • Deliver proof of concept (PoC) and pilot deployments to validate proposed solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and technical alignment.

2. Solution Design & Technical Expertise

  • Leverage strong working knowledge of leading cybersecurity platforms such as:

    • Palo Alto Networks (Next-Gen Firewalls, Prisma, Cortex)

    • Darktrace (AI-driven threat detection and response)

    • Imperva (Web Application Firewall, Data Security)

    • Silverfort (Identity Protection, MFA, Zero Trust)

    • CloudSEK (Digital Risk Monitoring, Threat Intelligence)

    • Picus Security (Breach and Attack Simulation, Security Validation)

  • Prepare and validate solution architecture documents that include security framework alignment, technical integration, and scalability considerations.

  • Stay up to date with cybersecurity trends, threat landscapes, and vendor product updates to provide strategic recommendations to clients.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients understanding their cybersecurity posture, risk tolerance, and compliance obligations.

  • Participate in technical discussions, RFP responses, and proposal defense meetings.

  • Work closely with client IT and security teams to ensure successful pre-sales and post-sales transitions.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities within the cybersecurity portfolio.

4. Internal Collaboration & Enablement

  • Work with the delivery and operations teams to ensure seamless handover of projects post-sale.

  • Provide technical training and knowledge sharing sessions internally to enhance team capability.

  • Assist in developing sales collateral, solution briefs, and technical marketing materials.

  • Contribute to vendor relationship management, supporting certifications, partner programs, and technical enablement initiatives.

5. Documentation, Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, proposals, and records of customer interactions.

  • Support the creation of solution templates, PoC reports, and evaluation summaries.

  • Ensure that all designs and recommendations comply with relevant security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.) and best practices.

  • Track and report key pre-sales metrics, including PoC outcomes, win rates, and customer feedback.
