Cybersecurity Specialist

<Job Summary>
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join us at S & S Die Co. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing cybersecurity measures across various platforms. Your expertise will help safeguard sensitive information, ensure compliance with industry standards, and respond swiftly to security incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the company’s cybersecurity posture in a manufacturing setting
  • Support compliance with ITAR regulations and prepare for CMMC certification
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Respond to security incidents and assist in root-cause analysis
  • Collaborate with IT staff, management, and manufacturing teams to enforce security protocols
  • Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and maintain awareness programs
  • Ensure adherence to access controls, data protection, and regulatory requirements

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced CNC manufacturing shop producing multiple parts per shift
  • High-mix environment requiring frequent changeovers and precision production
  • Close collaboration with shop floor, engineers, and IT staff to ensure compliance and security
  • Requires attention to detail, consistency, and proactive problem-solving

Skills & Expectations

  • Hands-on cybersecurity experience in enterprise or regulated environments
  • Knowledge of ITAR and familiarity with CMMC or willingness to learn quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to assess risks and implement security controls effectively
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to document processes and maintain audit-ready records
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new threats

Requirements

  • Follow written and verbal instructions related to security and compliance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance if onsite work is required
  • Willingness to work occasional extended hours during incidents or audits

Qualifications

  • Prior cybersecurity experience supporting regulated environments (ITAR, DFARS, or similar)
  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CMMC-related training are a plus
