Cybersecurity Specialist - Vanguard Tech Services

Vanguard Tech Services is a Local IT services firm delivering cloud and infrastructure solutions, cybersecurity, enterprise apps and technology integration for Omani businesses. At Vanguard Tech Services, cybersecurity roles focus on protecting enterprise IT systems, cloud platforms, and sensitive data from evolving threats.

Core Responsibilities:

Monitor networks and systems for cyber threats (SOC operations)

Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents

Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing

Implement security tools (firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection)

Secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and enterprise infrastructure

Manage identity & access control (IAM)

Ensure compliance with security standards and policies

Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies

Provide security awareness training to employees

Required Skills:

Knowledge of cybersecurity tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)

Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure)

Familiarity with frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)

Scripting (Python, Bash) is a plus

Certifications preferred:

CEH

CISSP

CompTIA Security+

Pay: From RO1,000.000 per month
