Position: Cycle Counter
Location: St Charles MO
As a Cycle Counter, you will play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy through scheduled counts, investigations, and inventory reconciliation. You’ll work within a designated zone to verify that all product information and quantities match system records, helping to maintain the integrity of the warehouse management system (WMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly cycle counts of assigned inventory zones.
- Physically verify inventory by visiting locations and comparing quantities and data to WMS records.
- Ensure all items have correct labeling, including barcodes, part numbers, and locations. Correct any discrepancies found.
- Use hand counts or scales to verify item quantities.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances, and update records as needed.
- Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors or managers.
- Support and participate in scheduled physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform all required computer functions related to inventory and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- 1+ year of experience as a cycle counter
- 1+ year working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to climb and work from ladders
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry inventory parts weighing 10–50 lbs
