D365 Finance Consultant – PMA (Client Support / AMS)

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in New Cairo, Egypt, allowing flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.

This role is focused on support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement, rather than full implementations. The ideal candidate combines solid functional knowledge with excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with business users on a day-to-day basis.


Qualifications


Key Responsibilities


Client Support & Issue Resolution

• Investigate and resolve issues related to:

• Project postings (cost/revenue)

• Billing and invoicing

• Timesheets and expenses

• WIP, accruals, and revenue recognition

• Troubleshoot posting errors GL/SL mismatch

• Provide clear explanations to users, not just fixes


Project Accounting Expertise

• Support and maintain:

• Project types (T&M, Fixed price, Investment)

• Project groups and posting profiles

• Funding rules and billing setups

• Ensure correct handling of:

• Revenue recognition

• Cost tracking and allocations

• Intercompany project transactions

• Assist with month-end activities and reconciliations


Continuous Improvement

• Identify recurring issues and propose improvents

• Support enhancements and configuration changes

• Work closely with technical teams where required

• Contribute to knowledge base (KB) articles


Stakeholder Communication

• Engage directly with:

• Finance teams

• Project managers

• Key business stakeholders

• Provide user-friendly explanations and guidance

• Manage expectations and priorities

• Deliver training sessions where needed

• Work within a structured support model

Handle a mix of:

Reactive support (incidents)

Proactive support (optimisation, improvements).


Required Skills & Experience


Functional Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in:

• Project Management & Accounting (core focus)

• General Ledger, AP, AR

• Solid understanding of:

• Project lifecycle in D365

• Revenue recognition and WIP

• Project costing and profitability

Support Mindset

• Experience in AMS / support environments

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Ability to handle multiple issues in parallel


Communication (Critical)

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Ability to:

• Simplify complex issues for business users

• Build trust with clients

• Handle challenging conversations professionally
