D365 F&O Integration Developer–Remote-Parttime

We are seeking a highly specialized Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Integration Developer for a focused, part-time remote role dedicated exclusively to the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) integration layer. This position is strictly centered on EDI data processing, customizations, and reliable exchange with trading partners —general module customizations with no forms/reports, or broad functional development.

Position Overview

  • Role: D365 F&O EDI Integration Developer (Part-time, EDI-focused)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM PKT (5 hours per day, 25 hours per week)
  • Employment Type: Part-time with fixed weekly hours and long-term stability
  • Compensation: PKR 200,000 to 250,000 per month (fixed, highly competitive for the specialized scope and hours)
  • Location: Fully remote (Pakistan-based preferred; reliable high-speed internet mandatory)
  • Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

This evening-shift schedule supports seamless overlap with international trading partners and teams, while delivering strong monthly earnings in a low-hour, high-impact part-time setup.

Key Responsibilities

This role is strictly limited to the EDI integration layer for inbound and outbound data processing in D365 F&O. You will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom EDI integrations using X++, data entities, custom services, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, or other middleware to handle structured EDI document exchange.
  • Perform validation for common EDI formats (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML-based variants) to/from D365 F&O modules (primarily Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, Inventory).
  • Build and customize EDI processing pipelines, including parsing inbound files (e.g., 850 Purchase Orders, 810 Invoices, 856 ASN, 997 Acknowledgments), outbound generation, error handling, acknowledgments, and retry mechanisms.
  • Develop custom logic for trading partner-specific requirements, such as envelope handling, segment modifications, custom qualifiers, or conditional mappings.
  • Implement and troubleshoot integration monitoring, batch jobs for EDI processing, logging, alerts, and reconciliation to ensure high reliability and minimal manual intervention.
  • Handle exception processing, data cleansing, duplicate detection, and compliance with partner EDI guidelines and standards.
  • Collaborate with functional teams and trading partners to gather mapping specifications, test end-to-end flows, and resolve integration issues.
  • Ensure all EDI solutions follow Microsoft best practices, performance optimization, security standards, and upgrade-safe extension models.
  • Maintain documentation for mappings, configurations, custom code, and partner profiles.

No responsibilities outside EDI: This excludes general D365 customizations (forms, reports, workflows, security roles), module enhancements, Power BI/SSRS development, or non-EDI integrations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 4–8+ years of hands-on experience in D365 F&O development, with at least 3 years focused specifically on EDI integrations and data exchange.
  • Strong expertise in X++, C#, .NET, Visual Studio for building custom EDI logic and extensions.
  • Proven experience with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT preferred; others like XML/PEPPOL a plus) and document types (e.g., ORDERS, INVOIC, DESADV, 997/855/856 equivalents).
  • Solid knowledge of D365 F&O data entities, OData, custom services, batch processing, and integration frameworks for EDI flows.
  • Experience using Azure tools (Logic Apps, Integration Accounts, Service Bus) or third-party EDI connectors/middleware for D365.
  • Familiarity with LCS, Azure DevOps/Git for source control, deployment, and testing of EDI solutions.
  • Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills for complex data flows and failures.
  • Ability to work independently on remote, time-zone-aligned shifts with strong attention to detail and proactive communication.
  • Proficient English (written/verbal) for technical documentation, partner specs, and team interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certification (e.g., MB-500 or integration-focused equivalents).
  • Prior work with popular D365 EDI solutions (e.g., SPS Commerce, Cleo, STAEDEAN, or custom-built).
  • Experience handling high-volume EDI transactions, VANs, AS2/AS4 protocols, or real-time vs. batch EDI.
  • Knowledge of common trading partner compliance (e.g., retail, manufacturing, logistics sectors).
